The 19th Annual Harvest Celebration to benefit Central Illinois Foodbank was held at Erin's Pavilion on September 28th. The event presented by DYNEGY, raised $92,000 to help fight hunger in central and southern Illinois.

The evening included dinner music by the Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony Chamber Ensemble, as well as the presentation of the Good Samaritan Award. This year's Good Samaritan recipient was Newschannel 20/Fox Illinois.  Through their efforts in the past three years they have raised over $4,200 and 5,600 pounds of food through their Joy of Sharing event. They have also created great awareness for the Foodbank featuring the organization on television 431 times over the decade.
